Our Biography

It is generally believed that the Gwandara people came from Kano state – Nigeria and later settled in their today’s various locations. They migrated at about 1365 to escaped religious persecution or force conversion to Islam. So they left Kano under their leader whose father was a king and they first settled at Karshin-Daji (Fadan-Karshi) in the present day Kaduna state.

Who's Alh. Danladi

Alh. Muhammadu Yakubu Danladi was born on January 1, 1940 in Uke LGA of Nasarawa state. Attended the elementary school at Keffi between 1950-1954 and proceeded to complete his senior primary school at Laminga in 1957. In the following year, he gained admission into the Provincial Secodary School, Kastina-Ala where he obtained his OND in Civil & Building Engineering in June 1966.

GWADECA In Brief

GWADECA is an acronym for: Gwandara Development, Educational & Cultural Association - owns by the Gwandara speaking people of Nigeria. GwaDECA national body is chaired by Hon. Tanko Abari (National Chairman) and other concerned Gwandara sons and daughters with the primary aim of adding values to culture, education and as well as to seek for developmental strides. The Abuja chapter is headed by Alh. Jibril Abdullahi Imam - Karshi; Nasarawa State Chapter by Dr. John W. Mamman Dari; Niger State Chapter by Musa Makama - Sabon Wuse; Kaduna State Chapter by Mr. Silas Usman. GwaDECA youth wing - FCT Chapter (Sambari Nyamata Gwandara Dev. & Cultural Association) with CAC registered No: CAC/IT/NO124240 is headed by Comr. Adamu A. Dutse and other concerned Gwandara sons and daughters. The Gwandara speaking people migrated at about 1365 from Kano state, Nigeria to escaped religious persecutions and later settled in their today’s various locations.
